Frequently Asked Questions
How durable is the stainless steel marking?
The stainless steel marking process produces marking on the stainless steel that is permanent and highly durable.
How durable is the annealed finish on industrial plastic GPO’s?
Testing has proven that there is no change in colour or legibility after rubbing external markings with water, methylated spirit, and isopropyl alcohol (Testing included each substance rubbed on the external marking for 15 seconds with the results that the marks are still clearly legible after the rub treatments).
These wall plates are excellent for commercial installations, hospitals, labs, kitchens, bathrooms, and any place where having a clean smooth surface is desirable.
How is an “infection” control mark achieved?
Using Fibremark / YAG laser technology on the actual device achieves a permanent mark with no actual indentation on the surface, providing the ultimate mark for infection controlled environments such as aged care, hospitality / food, health care facilities, and in particular operating theaters.
Can you make my labels self-adhesive?
We can apply industrial strength self-adhesive tape to the reverse of your labels or signs, allowing you to simply peel and stick. Screw fixing is recommended if these items will be subject to the elements or harsh conditions.
With regards to engraving laminates, please note oversized holes are required and pop rivets cannot be used.
Alternatively a non-acidic silicone such as Sikaflex can be used. Under no circumstances should liquid nails or similar be used as an adhesive. These products do not allow for contraction and expansion of the substrate, and buckling can occur.
